Week 8 Player of the Week: Valdosta’s Todd Robinson

Todd Robinson isn’t planning to play quarterback or running back in college, but he sure looks like a star at both in a Valdosta uniform.

Robinson, a senior committed to Georgia as a defensive back, was 21-of-27 passing for 269 yards and a touchdown and rushed for 132 yards and four touchdowns in a 56-37 victory over fourth-ranked Camden County last week.

In six games, all victories, Robinson has passed for a career-high 1,219 yards, putting him at 3,335 for his career. In the Camden game, he surpassed 2,000 yards rushing for his career (2,007). Valdosta, now ranked No. 4 in Class 6A, has its highest ranking in the highest classification since 2014.

Robinson is GHSF Daily’s Player of the Week. The award is sponsored by Sports Turf.

Valdosta quarterback Todd Robinson is joined by the football team, coaches and cheerleaders for the presentation of GHSF Daily’s Player of the Week award.
