Week 9 Team of the Week: North Oconee

North Oconee had all manner of winning streaks on the line Friday night against Eastside. That’s 28 consecutive wins in region games, 34 in regular-season games, and 25 in home games.

The latest game. between top-10 Class 4A teams, came down to one drive. Trailing 35-34 with 3:02 left, the Titans started at their 20 and drove 11 plays, the final one a 3-yard TD pass with no timeouts from Harrison Faulkner to Khamari Brooks with 19 seconds left.

Head coach Tyler Aurandt and members of the North Oconee football team are joined by Jody Tanner of BSN Sports for the presentation of GHSF Daily’s Team of the Week award after their Week 9 victory over Eastside.

“I think our kids play bigger than the moment and didn’t let the moment get too big for them,” North Oconee coach Tyler Aurandt told the AJC’s Stan Awtrey.
